Take on All The World

The hours tick away as night draws near.
The palate ices, covers up in fear.
The bastion of another year
Crumbles in despair
And through the chiming of a bell
Remember life’s not fair

Leave the embers of a city up in flames.
Sail off by sunset to new places without pain.
Come alive again with me
as we keep moving forward.
Before you dare to realize,
We’ll take on all the world.

And before us, the dark will tremble,
Not knowing what has come to pass
As the new year dawns upon
The long forgotten dreams
Once again the truth is clear
The new year comes with brand new themes
